Grow Your Confidence

Increase Your Clinical Impact

Working with neurodivergent children is rewarding and complex.

When regulation, behaviour, and engagement challenges impact participation, therapy can feel like navigating uncharted waters. It takes more than textbooks and training courses - it takes deep clinical insight, critical thinking, and a safe space to unpack challenges, celebrate wins, and explore evidence-based strategies that truly work.

That’s where my mentoring and clinical supervision comes in.

Why Work With Me?

I’m Michelle Newby PhD(c), MSc, BHSc(OT), a paediatric occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting children with some of the most complex neurodevelopmental presentations - where regulation, behaviour, and engagement all intersect to impact participation in daily life.

I’ve worked in private practice, community, hospital and educational settings, and I love helping occupational therapists grow their skills in these areas so they can feel more competent, confident, and equipped to create better outcomes for children and families.

Through our sessions, you’ll get:

  • Evidence-informed guidance grounded in the latest research and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

  • Practical, real-world strategies you can apply immediately in your sessions.

  • A safe, reflective space to discuss complex cases without judgment.

  • Clarity and direction for your ongoing professional growth.

But don’t just take my word for it - here’s what other OTs are saying about my supervision sessions.

Tendai Chivizhe - Senior OT

Clinical supervision with Michelle provides invaluable opportunities to reflect and develop my clinical reasoning and leadership skills. Michelle tailors her approach to supervision to what best suits my learning needs. I enjoy the coaching feedback style she provides, as it fosters my ability to view, and problem solve clinical questions through a multifaceted approach. These problem-solving skills have improved my decision making when preparing sessions, adapting sessions in the moment, supporting other therapists, and providing parent education. Regular supervision with Michelle always improves my clinical skills as I often come out of the sessions with new and evidence-based therapy strategies to implement in my practice. Michelle consistently provides access to a safe space where I can debrief and resolve challenging situations that may occur during my clinical practice

Amy Dufour - Senior OT

My supervision with Michelle has been incredibly valuable in supporting my professional growth. Michelle’s supportive approach creates a safe space to reflect on my sessions, discuss complex cases, navigate challenges, and build my clinical reasoning.  I always leave our supervision sessions with new strategies and clinical information, leaving me feeling more confident in supporting my clients and families.

Claire Fitzpatrick - OT

Supervision with Michelle has been incredibly helpful during my transition into Paediatrics. She brings a wealth of knowledge, and her friendly, understanding approach creates a supportive learning environment. Michelle consistently provides practical feedback, useful tools, and relevant resources tailored to my clients. I leave each supervision session feeling more confident and equipped with a clear, actionable plan for my clients. I would highly recommend Michelle to any therapist seeking guidance, particularly in the field of Paediatrics
